Program Specification

Master of Arts in English

The Master’s Program in English is dedicated to teaching all three areas of English education––English language, teaching English, and Business English.  The program is also aimed at inculcating excellence and competence in research methodology in those areas. Students may choose to specialize in one of those areas, but may integrate the knowledge in them in their research.  Scholarship and fund are also provided.

Philosophy
Master all English language skills, conduct research, and serve the community.
Objectives
Students will be able to:
1.       Accurately and precisely communicate– both in speaking and writing – in a variety of contexts
2.       Use effectively a range of research strategies applicable to conduct research in English field.
3.       Analyze and apply gained knowledge to serve the community.
4.      Apply gained knowledge to their work or further study.

Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university.
